School Disengagement

Select the targeted age group, then the level of intervention.

School Disengagement occurs when students do not enjoy going to school or learning new things. School disengagement can lead to falling behind academically, poor attendance, and school dropout.

Interventions and supports for School Disengagement focus on building positive relationships with adults in the school building, goal setting, supporting student motivation to be successful in school, and making school and course content meaningful and relevant.
